The YMCA of Greater Richmond is seeking a highly motivated, mission-driven leader to serve as Executive Director of the Manchester Family YMCA.
The Manchester Family YMCA plays a dynamic role in the greater Richmond community, with involvement in wellness, community impact and youth development. The Executive Director will ensure a safe, positive, and inclusive atmosphere that promotes engagement in accordance with YMCA policies, practices, and procedures. They will be a forward-thinking collaborator and change agent who is passionate about the YMCA and have a proven successful track record of inspiring a multicultural mindset to develop programs and services that embraces a diverse community. The Branch Executive Director oversees the operation of the branch and guides volunteer and staff development, philanthropy, and collaboration with community stakeholders. This position is responsible for meeting key metrics, driving membership, and ensuring the quality of program delivery. The branch has a 2023 annual budget of over $1.6 million, with a fundraising goal of over $100k.

DUTIES
The Executive Director will oversee and implement strategic growth and planning for the Manchester Family YMCA. The Executive Director will focus on continuing to develop strong community relationships and collaborations; overseeing board and staff development for the branch; and fundraising. The position involves a high level of community visibility and leadership, and the Executive Director will play an active role in leading and participating in events and programs supporting the Y.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required qualifications include a minimum of five years of demonstrated leadership experience, including staff development, fundraising, and board and volunteer engagement. Candidates must have a bachelor's degree, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and experience managing a budget. The most qualified candidates will have directly related experience in philanthropy and cultivating volunteers, as well as previous experience managing within the nonprofit environment. Bilingual (English/Spanish speaking) applicants are preferred.
