We’re bringing together a fantastic panel of local experts: Jess Houser and Vanessa Dieterly with Home Sweet RVA, and Matt Pritchett with The Cowart Team.  They’ll walk you through the homebuying process from start to finish.  They’ll cover everything from preparing financially and navigating the market to understanding financing options, the role of title, the closing process, and protecting your investment.

Join NGLCC’s Heritage Committee in celebrating Women’s History Month with Christina Calisi, owner and principal casting director of Christina Calisi Casting, a proudly LGBTBE- and DOBE-certified creative services company. Christina will share how authenticity became the guiding truth of her leadership, entrepreneurship, and survival as a millennial queer, disabled woman in entertainment and media.

Drawing from her experience working with major media companies, public health organizations, and mission-driven brands, Christina will explore how women and other underrepresented professionals are often handed roles they never chose, and how unlearning those scripts can unlock new levels of power and possibility. Attendees will gain practical tools to recognize inherited narratives, reclaim their voice, and leverage authenticity as a strategic advantage in business and leadership.

In 2026, gender-diverse business owners and customers are experiencing both heightened visibility and a challenging landscape. As entrepreneurship, financial empowerment, and community networks continue to expand, many are thoughtfully navigating how to grow their businesses while prioritizing personal well-being and sustainability. How do we embrace visibility in ways that feel aligned, strategic, and affirming?

Facilitated by Nick Marzo (he/him), MS, LPC, LMHC, CST-S, ACS, founder of Modern Path, LLC and a nationally recognized leader in affirming behavioral health, this session will explore values-driven decision-making, strategies for assessing personal and professional alignment, and ways to remain authentically visible while caring for yourself and your enterprise. The program will also create space for shared learning and lived experiences, uplifting the voices of gender-diverse and allied members within the NGLCC community.

Attendees will leave with practical tools, renewed confidence, and a strengthened sense of collective resilience and joy.
