    The Opportunity

In an effort to better serve our 100+ million registered hourly workers and over 470,000 employer locations, Snag is looking for a Senior Director of Data Analytics. This Snagger will be responsible for architecting and monitoring balance in one of the world’s largest platforms for hourly work by inventing, building and maintaining world-class business intelligence and analytics products that achieve and enable Snag’s strategic objectives. The Snag BI and Analytics team is responsible for defining and producing in near-real time the critical information and analytical insights necessary to execute Snag’s strategy, partnering with and supporting key stakeholders and utilizing best practices for data analysis and visualization.

    What You Get to Do

    • Exploit the value of enterprise information assets and the analytics used to render insights for executive leader decision making, operational and financial reporting
    • Define key metrics that help the business move forward - partner with all key functional leaders to incorporate their functional levers (metrics) into common dashboards used to inform business strategy and measure functional successes
    • Drive the development and optimization of Snag's analytics tools and practices
    • In partnership with Product and Engineering, identify and standardize the use and governance of data and analytics in support of the enterprise's business strategy
    • Own and optimize the metrics collection across the company, and drive continuous improvements in our visualization practices
    • Work with functional leaders to tease out the ‘so what’ from the data, and help frame the ‘what do we do from here’ storylines with an eye toward business strategy and outcomes
    • Exploit data using research and analytics to maximize the return on data assets, and develop methods to ensure consistent application and use of analytics
    • Continually expand Snag's research and analytics offerings — emerging analytical approaches, skills and technologies
    • Identify new kinds, types and sources of data to drive business innovation throughout the organization. In partnership with Data Engineering, define processes for the effective, integrated introduction of new data
    • Ensure that the data used for financial reporting and to support legal requirements is valid, reliable, traceable, timely, available, secure and consistent
    • Financial modeling and forecasting - lead a team that owns several financial models for the company - revenue and its drivers, LTV and CAC for workers and clients

    What You’ll Bring

    • A leader of data-driven insights that help support strategic and tactical business opportunities, and be a champion for a data-driven, decision-making culture
    • Business experience, ideally in business management, legal, financial or information or IT management — recently at or near the executive level
    • Progressive leadership experience in leading cross-functional teams and enterprise wide programs, operating and influencing effectively across the organization and within complex contexts
    • Experience integrating complex, cross-corporate processes and information strategies, and/or designing strategic metrics and scorecards
    • Excellent business acumen and interpersonal skills; able to work across business lines at senior levels to influence and effect change to achieve common goals
    • Proven data literacy — the ability to describe business use cases/outcomes, data sources and management concepts, and analytical approaches/options. The ability to translate among the languages used by executive, business, IT and quant stakeholders
    • Analytical skills: outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Familiarity with business information generation and analysis methods.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain analytical concepts to business leaders, as well as business concepts to technologists; the ability to sell ideas and process internally at all levels, including the board and investors
    • The ability to live by Snag’s core values - solidarity, candor, unconvention, fire - by being an ally, speaking hard truths, questioning the status quo, and always doing whatever it takes to meet our mission of putting people in the right fit positions so they can maximize their potential and live more fulfilling lives
