    The Opportunity

In an effort to better serve our Shifts customers, Snagajob is looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead our Shifts for Employer business. Shifts is the fastest growing new product line at Snagajob, and Senior Product Managers at Snagajob are the CEO's of their products. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the effort to deliver products that are usable, valuable, and feasible for businesses.

We are looking for a results-driven thought leader to join our team. As the Senior Product Manager, you’ll be responsible for the entire product lifecycle including defining the product vision, performing customer research, prioritizing functionality, and coordinating activities among engineering, sales, marketing, and support. As a strategic leader within our rapidly growing technology company, you will define product vision, strategy, and roadmap, and drive execution.

This role may be based remotely or in our Arlington or Richmond, VA or Charleston, SC office.

    About You

In this role, you will be crafting the future of hourly work. You will own the Employer experience for Shifts and lead the team to build products that help our customers thrive. You have experience launching new products and taking ideas from concept to launch. You get excited to know your customers and truly understand their pain points. You love to ideate, prioritize a roadmap and lead a team to focus on execution. You are comfortable with managing stakeholders, negotiating scope or prioritization and focusing on the outcome rather than output. You can learn more about Shifts at www.snagajob.com/shifts.

    What You’ll Get to Do

    • Define the problem to be solved.  Combine quantitative and qualitative research to decide which opportunities are promising and which are not; what looks appealing, which should be pursued, which are better left for others, and which ideas are not yet ready for production.
    • Define the right product.  Discover the mix of form and function that results in a winning product solving the customer’s problem.  Talk with customers, explore new ideas, flesh out product concepts and test them out.
    • Define the product portfolio strategy. In conjunction with your colleagues, build and maintain a product portfolio roadmap that illustrates how your product initiatives will enable us to realize our corporate strategy and how all the product pieces fit together.
    • Build a customer network.  Find answers to points of ambiguity by building a strong, supportive network among our customer base.
    • Define the product principals and evangelize.  Discover not just a winning product but a winning vision.  Define your product principals and sell the value of your product internally (to ensure success in execution) and externally (to ensure a warm reception by the market).
    • Be the product hub. Expect lots of requests and work hard to make connections. Connect different ideas and initiatives. Be the 'go to person'. Know the product intimately and be the final approver before the product is released.
    • Ask hard questions. Drill into the root cause of problems. Create and monitor metrics to drive business impact on decisions and product changes.

    What You’ll Bring

    • Product management experience in a fast-paced, project-driven environment
    • Demonstrated success in defining and launching excellent products - expertise with SaaS product offerings, human capital, and user experience. Experience with two sided network business models or high performance bidding systems is a plus.
    • Successful experience at a startup or exponential growth business is preferred - comfort level with complex problems, high degree of autonomy in a fast-paced environment, willing to take on challenges and do what it takes to make a product successful
    • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders and projects in an agile environment
    • Strong organizational and project management skills
    • Self-motivated, results oriented and a team player
    • Ability to flourish in a fast paced, high growth environment
    • Outstanding communication skills with both colleagues and customers
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • The ability to live by Snagajob’s core values - solidarity, candor, unconvention, fire - by being an ally, speaking hard truths, questioning the status quo, and always doing whatever it takes to meet our mission of putting people in the right fit positions so they can maximize their potential and live more fulfilling lives
